We Seek Justice for the Wrongfully Convicted Prentice Ponds and Help Him Safely Come Home
Tulsa, Oklahoma – Prentice Ponds has suffered at the hands of the unfair justice system since 2015 and his struggles continue to this day. He was railroaded and convicted for crimes he never committed. To top it off, he is imprisoned to Life plus 25 years on bogus charges. We, as a community will support him and continue with our efforts to demand the justice he deserves.
Prentice Ponds is a family man who worked hard for his family and kids. But his efforts to build a good lifestyle for his family went in vain when an Insurance Commissioner denied him the chance at a fair trial.
It all started when he purchased a vehicle and the vehicle suffered damage when an oncoming vehicle collided into it. After filing an insurance claim, an insurance investigator paid a visit. But the investigator tried to intimidate him in his own home and attacked Mr. Ponds when he asked him to leave the premises.
Prentice Ponds tried defending himself and called the police to report the incident. The officers declared it mutual combat and arrested him two weeks later. The case was dismissed in 2 months, but the court decided to convict him on wrongful charges without giving him a chance to defend himself though he had sufficient evidence to prove his innocence.
Angela K. Chambers and Sondia O. Bell of Refocused & Informed Radio Talk Show arranged a show on 24th March 2022 where Prentice Ponds joined them through a phone call from prison. We will continue to raise a voice in his support on all platforms and encourage our community to play their part.
