Change is Coming: Support Me for NAACP Vice-President!

 

People of Tulsa, it’s time for CHANGE! And we can bring this change by joining forces.

NAACP Tulsa branch can become the major driving force for bringing prosperity in the lives of our people. So, I’m excited to announce my nomination for the First Vice President of NAACP Tulsa. Your support and vote for the position will be greatly valued.

NAACP: What Does It Do?

Established in 1909, the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) advocates for the rights of African Americans. The group has taken initiatives for economic, educational, and political equality to everyone regardless of their ethnicity. But we need more rigorous efforts to make Tulsa and Oklahoma a better and safer place for everyone.

With social injustice prevailing and the community struggling with financial and social issues, it’s time we vote for a new administration that can do better for Our People.

Innocent people like Prentice Ponds are waiting for legal justice. We hear about police brutality against Black people more often than we should. People in many states don’t have access to basic rights such as clean water due to racial discrimination.

The purpose of the NAACP organization is to raise a voice and take action to ensure access to these basic human rights.

We Are Going for CHANGE

We deserve much more to thrive as a community. The NAACP Tulsa branch has done some good things over time. But we know that’s not enough.

It's time for Change!

And do you know who can bring the change? Only people in the community can do it by joining the NAACP organization and doing their part. Visit naacp.org to become a member of the local chapter. Also, we need to support leaders who are sincere to the community and have plans to bring positive change.

It’s a pleasure to announce that I’ve accepted the nomination to run for First Vice President of NAACP Tulsa Chapter Branch 6143. My opponent is Mareo Johnson. The elections are on 5th November 2022.

We (new administration) have plans for execution to shape Tulsa for a better future. We are determined to work for Our People and can’t do this without your support. If you are a current member in good standing, please come out and vote.

Greenwood Chamber of Commerce Faces Fire Threats from Tenant  Staff Writer Greenwood Chamber of Commerce has been repeatedly receiving fire threats from disgruntled tenant. This aggressive behavior against the non-profit organization has affected its operations, making it difficult for the administration to support local businesses. Why Fire Watch Was Issued Devin Williams, the owner of DW Speak Easy, recently filed a report against the Chamber. The business owner accused the Chamber of violating building maintenance laws which resulted in his business failure. However, the business failed due to the mismanagement and lack of planning of the business owner and has been sued in court on unpaid agreements. After being sued and losing his case, Williams has been involved in propaganda against the Chamber of Commerce with the help of the former chamber member and friends including a local radio show and local news outlet.
