NAACP Merchandise: Support the Local Tulsa Chapter


NAACP Tulsa stands for equality and justice for everyone. The Tulsa branch #6143 has advocated for the rights of people and promoted equal rights for everyone regardless of ethnicity and background. With the change in command in 2023, NAACP Tulsa will serve the community with more vigor and determination.

The non-profit organization is currently led by Pleas Thompson, President with assistance from Anna Marie-Gaines, Secretary. They deserve all the appreciation for keeping it going despite a myriad of obstacles that blocked their way.

The new administration with President Francetta Mays and Vice President Angela K. Chambers will take charge on January 1, 2023. The upcoming leadership intends to focus on justice system reforms and equality in the justice system.

NAACP Tulsa branch is working to raise voice for wrongfully convicted people serving time in prison. A prime example of this injustice is Prentice Ponds who was sentenced to Life+25 years for a fistfight.

The long-sleeve, white-colored t-shirt represents the motto of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and is available in all sizes – Small to 4X.

The unique merchandise is available for $35 (Small-XLarge), $37 (2X), and $40 (3X and 4X). A portion of the sale profit will go to the “Genesis Unit” of local youth. NAACP Membership

The NAACP Tulsa chapter needs your support and donations to move in the new direction and put in the effort to bring positive change.

To join us in the movement, you can register as a member and make your voice count. Go to the official NAACP website and fill out the online membership form. But make sure you select Tulsa branch #6143 to become a part of the local chapter.

The annual membership plans are available for adults ($30) as well as youth ($10) or you can become a lifetime member.

NAACP is tackling the toughest challenges for people and your support means a lot to us!

Greenwood Chamber of Commerce Faces Fire Threats from Tenant  Staff Writer Greenwood Chamber of Commerce has been repeatedly receiving fire threats from disgruntled tenant. This aggressive behavior against the non-profit organization has affected its operations, making it difficult for the administration to support local businesses. Why Fire Watch Was Issued Devin Williams, the owner of DW Speak Easy, recently filed a report against the Chamber. The business owner accused the Chamber of violating building maintenance laws which resulted in his business failure. However, the business failed due to the mismanagement and lack of planning of the business owner and has been sued in court on unpaid agreements.
